WORLD WORSHIP NETWORK

In August 1998, I visited the World Prayer Centre in Colorado Springs. Established by Ps Ted Haggert and Dr Peter Wagner as a strategic prayer centre for worldwide and national prayer ministries. It was very inspiring to fellowship with ministries with a global vision. The scripture says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Our Father in heaven also has a global vision. We must follow in our Father's footsteps as He connects with the world through Jesus Christ. We are His connection points.

As I made further enquiries in regards to Global Networks I found that there is no endeavour to link worshippers together into a truly Global Network. I would like to bring before you a proposal to start a World Worship Network to facilitate an even greater release of praise and worship throughout the earth.

I will give thanks to thee Oh Lord among the peoples
I will sing praises to thee among the nations, for great is your love,
reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth
Psalm 57:9-11

The book of Revelation talks about a scene of heavenly worship, where men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, stood before the throne in worship. The Father is seeking worshippers. Each individual, tribe, people, nation and language group have something to give to God. We should prepare ourselves on earth for heaven. I believe now is the time to surround this earth with an even greater intensity of praise to God than ever before. Praise brings a judgement against evil principalities and brings a release to the captives. Psalm 149:6l Praise is also a key for evangelism Psalm 40:1-3 and the fullness of the Holy Spirit Ephesians 5:18 & 19.

The World Worship Network could facilitate international worship events and open doors for the exchange of worship ministry throughout the nations. My observation is that the western world's music tends to dominate the musical and artistic expression of other countries. This is also happening in the church, and yet there is a rich diversity of worship amongst the indigenous peoples of the world. Such a worldwide community of worshippers in fellowship across the globe via publication, the internet, telecommunications, TV, radio and international worship events could further accelerate the purposes of God. Such a World Worship Network could also encourage and nurture each country's indigenous worship.

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Habakkuk 2:14

My particular passion over the last ten years of ministry is to encourage Praise from the Australian Heart and particularly the indigenous Aboriginal people of Australia. I have been the National Co-ordinator for the Praise Corroboree held annually at the National Parliament House in Canberra, Australia for the first four years. The Praise Corroboree is a 72 hour period of continuous praise, prayer and worship to God, a 'cross cultural gathering to glorify God'. I always felt that the Praise Corroboree was a template for 24 hour worship and praise in Federal Parliament on behalf of our nation. I have a ten year goal to set up a world worship centre in Wollongong with 24 hour worship and prayer, attended by people from all nations. Such a centre would have a strong missions thrust, much like the early Moravians in Germany in the 1700s.
